President
Ty Cobb
Ty Cobb serves as President of the Board of Pooler Christian School. A lifelong resident of Pooler, Georgia, Ty holds a Master of Business Administration and has built his career in procurement. He brings a thoughtful, strategic approach to his leadership of the board and is committed to helping guide the school with wisdom, purpose, and a strong sense of stewardship.
Ty is also an active member of Rothwell Baptist Church, where he serves on the deacon board. His commitment to Christian service is reflected in his work with Pooler Christian School and in his desire to support families seeking a faith-centered education for their children.
Ty and his wife strongly believe in the value of Christ-centered education. When seeking that opportunity for their own two children, they enrolled them in a private Christian school in Savannah. That experience strengthened Ty’s belief that families in Pooler should have access to the same type of educational environment closer to home. He is honored to help make that vision a reality through Pooler Christian School.

Vice President
Terry Williams
Terry serves on the Board of Pooler Christian School, bringing more than three decades of experience working with children, families, and educators. She began her career in education in 1992 as a paraprofessional at South Effingham Elementary School before later serving in the Pre-K program at South Effingham High School.
After stepping away from education for several years to help care for her grandchildren, she returned to the Effingham County School System in 2016. She currently serves at Sand Hill Elementary School as a paraprofessional and lead para, where she continues to support students and staff each day.
Her many years in education have given her a firsthand understanding of the impact that a strong, supportive school community can have on a child’s life. She is honored to bring that experience to the Pooler Christian School Board and to help support the school’s mission of providing families with a Christ-centered educational option in the Pooler community.

Secertary
Joshua Hastings
Josh Hastings serves on the Board of Pooler Christian School as Secretary and brings a diverse background in education, leadership, business, and community service. An educator with more than a decade of experience, Josh has spent much of his career working directly with students and families while also building and operating several small businesses. His experience in both education and entrepreneurship has shaped his commitment to strong leadership, responsible stewardship, and creating meaningful opportunities for children and families.
Josh and his wife, Lauren, are the proud parents of three sons, Kaden, Coleman, and Carter. As parents, they understand firsthand the importance of an educational environment that not only challenges students academically but also reinforces the values being taught at home. Josh believes deeply in the mission of Pooler Christian School and the opportunity to provide families in the Pooler community with access to a high-quality, Christ-centered education. He is honored to serve the school and help build a strong foundation for its students, families, and future.

A retired accountant, Ken brings decades of financial experience, attention to detail, and a strong sense of stewardship to his role on the board. His background helps support the school’s financial planning and long-term sustainability as Pooler Christian School continues to grow.
Ken is a longtime member of Rothwell Baptist Church, where he serves as a deacon and has been actively involved in the life and ministry of the church for many years. His wife, Ann, is a retired teacher who continues to serve at Rothwell through the children’s ministry and is a strong supporter of Pooler Christian School.
Ken and Ann are the proud parents of three grown children. Together, they share a deep commitment to their church, their community, and the importance of providing families with access to a Christ-centered education. Teacher
Mrs. Shelley Renee Hallman
Shelley Renee Hallman serves as the Kindergarten and First Grade teacher at Pooler Christian School and is proud to be part of the school’s inaugural year. She has spent much of her career working in early childhood education, including time at Growing in the Son Preschool at Compassion Church and, most recently, at Trinity Methodist.
Throughout her years in the classroom, Shelley has felt a strong calling to teach and encourage young children as they grow academically, socially, and spiritually.
A lifelong member of Rothwell Baptist Church, Shelley has deep roots in the local Christian community. She and her husband, John, have been married for 27 years and are active in the children’s ministry at Rothwell. They have one daughter, Kaelyn, who is currently attending Georgia Southern University and pursuing a degree in elementary education.
Shelley is grateful for the opportunity to serve at Pooler Christian School and believes God has placed her here for a special purpose. She looks forward to helping build a strong foundation for students during the school’s first year and creating a classroom where children feel loved, encouraged, and excited to learn.

Teacher
Mrs. Becky Lively
Mrs. Becky Lively brings more than 20 years of experience in education to Pooler Christian School. She began her journey as a substitute teacher, where she quickly realized that teaching was the path God had called her to pursue. She later served as a paraprofessional while working toward her teaching certification and is now entering her 13th year as a certified teacher.
Mrs. Lively is excited to be part of the inaugural year at Pooler Christian School and to help create a Christ-centered learning environment where students can grow academically, personally, and spiritually. She is passionate about encouraging students and helping them develop a strong foundation for future success.
Outside of the classroom, Mrs. Lively is a proud mother of three and grandmother of five, with another grandchild on the way. Being a mom and “Nana” are among her greatest joys, and she is grateful for the opportunity to bring that same care, patience, and encouragement into her classroom each day.
